Warp Drive

The counter starts climbing. 1.04x. 1.12x. 1.38x. You tell yourself you'll extract at 2x. The counter passes 2x. You don't press the button. 2.50x. 3.10x. Your hand is hovering. 4.22x. You think one more second. The field collapses. Everything's gone.
That's Warp Drive. The field never stopped generating. It's been running the whole time, lighting up empty screens in empty stations, waiting for someone to set a Cargo amount and press Launch.
How it works
- Set your Cargo amount under Launch Controls — Choose how much Cargo you want to commit to the run.
- Wait for the round to open — A new round begins and the extraction counter will start.
- The extraction counter starts climbing — Values rise like: 1.04x... 1.42x... 2.50x... 4.22x...
- Hit Extract to lock in the current value — Press Extract before the field destabilizes to secure the multiplier for your Cargo.
- If the field collapses before you extract, the committed Cargo is lost — No extraction means you forfeit the Cargo for that run.
That's it. No fleet required. No preparation. Just Cargo and the question of when to let go.
What you see
The counter dominates the screen. Along the top, previous round results scroll by (1.07x, 2.50x, 4.22x, 1.27x...), giving you a feel for the session's volatility. On the left, your Launch Controls. On the right, the Crew panel showing other Commanders in the round.
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Auto Launch | Enters you into the next round automatically |
| Auto Extract | Triggers extraction at a value you set in advance |
| Round History | Previous collapse points along the top of the screen |
| Max Reward | Shows the maximum possible return for your Cargo amount |
